The Auberge de la Baie is a hotel/restaurant located only 2.5 miles from the Mont Saint Michel in Normandy.
Our hotel provides 10 double bedrooms, 3 family bedrooms as well as an apartment for 6 people with a direct view towards the Mont Saint Michel.
The traditional restaurant welcomes up to 100 people.
Gilles and Valérie HOREAU offer a large and varied menu of regional and local dishes for example: the famous salt-marsh lamb.
The Auberge, ideally placed between Normandy and Brittany, is the most appropriate starting point to discover these 2 different regions. Avranches and the Mont Saint Michel manuscripts, Villedieu les Poêles and the artisan clock foundry is the world copper capital! Close to Granville is one of the main harbors for seafood, along the coast, a great view of the bay and nice family beaches at Julouville and Carolles. Family’s can also enjoy the Champrepus zoo. Mont Saint Michel bay can also be discovered on horse back or walking with a guide. Don't forget to visit the Mont Saint Michel itself: an unforgettable visit! Take the coastal road to discover the huge bay where you can see the "bouchots" (wooden pillars), mussel farms, Cancale oysters and the ornithological island close to Grouin cape, and also some unusual small beaches. The visit to Saint Malo and its old city bulwarks will remind you of its traditional pirate (corsair) past. A further 20 miles along the coast you can visit the Frehel cape and the "rose granite” coast". |
